The Department of Politics and International Relations, in association with either Lincoln or St Anne’s College, proposes to appoint a University Lecturer in Comparative European Politics and Government (including the Politics of the European Union). We welcome applicants with a research interest – across European states or at the EU-level – in a wide variety of sub-fields, including, but not limited to, the study of public opinion and electoral behaviour, political parties, legislatures and executives, and bureaucracies.

The Department of Politics and International Relations, in association with either Lincoln or St Anne’s College, proposes to appoint a University Lecturer in Comparative Government and Politics (including the United Kingdom). This full-time post is available from 1st September 2012 (or as soon as possible thereafter), and will be held in conjunction with a Tutorial Fellowship at one of either Lincoln or St Anne’s College.

Established in 2000, the Department is one of the largest teaching and research units in its field in the United Kingdom with over 100 active research staff working around five principal areas: Government, Theory, International Relations, the Politics of Development and the application of quantitative methods in political and social science. The Department is located in the new Social Sciences building on Manor Road along with the Departments of Economics and Sociology, the Centres for Criminology and Socio-Legal Studies and the new Social Science Library.
