Funding DeadlinesAll applications through the Department must be approved in advance by the Research Committee. If you would like to apply for any of these schemes, please contact the Research Support Team by the dates given below. Please remember we need at least four working weeks to process applications. This timeframe is designed to enable us to help you put together a well-prepared application and properly costed budget, as well as meeting University requirements. If members of the Department wish to be named on applications made through other departments or institutions they MUST discuss this with the Department first and get approval, even if you do not think there will be any costs involved (Research Support Team). **PLEASE NOTE: Some Department deadlines have been brought forward due to University closures and staff leave in the vacations (for example, if you are interested in applying for any funding scheme with a January deadline you must contact the RST by the beginning of December at the latest).
Note: The ESRC has bilateral agreements with several other European research funding agencies to facilitate collaborative research. Some schemes have deadlines, others are open-ended.
