Dr Theresa Kuhn
Post: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Introduction
Theresa Kuhn is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Politics and International Relations and a member of Nuffield College at the University of Oxford. She obtained her PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute, Florence, and has held visiting positions at University of California at Berkeley and the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB).Her doctoral dissertation analysed the impact of transnational interactions and globalisation on public support for European integration using multilevel analysis of survey data. The thesis was awarded EUI's Linz-Rokkan Prize in Political Sociology, and the THESEUS award for promising resarch on European integration 2012.
Currently, Theresa Kuhn is conducting laboratory experiments to study to what extent Europeans' willingness to redistribute is dependent on the level of redistribution (local, national, supranational). This project is funded by a British Academy/Leverhulme Small Reserach Grant.
Theresa Kuhn completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Passau, Germany, and the Institut d’Études Politiques de Toulouse. She also worked as an external project manager for the European Commission (DG Education and Culture) and for the Austrian Embassy in Madrid.
