Agustín Basave elected leader of Mexico's left-leaning political party

Last November, Agustín Basave (DPhil in Politics, 1985) was elected as national leader (President of the National Executive Committee) of the Partido de la Revolución Democratica for a two-year term.

The PRD is the main left-wing party in Mexico, and third in terms of number of seats in congress, with 4.5. million members.  You can read more about his election by clicking here:
