Fulbright-Oxford-Pembroke Visiting Professorship in Politics and International Relations 2019-2020
Applications are invited for the 2019-2020 Fulbright-Oxford-Pembroke Visiting Professorship in Politics and International Relations, hosted by Pembroke College and the Department of Politics and International Relations.
The award is open to senior US Associate or Full Professors in Politics or International Relations, and is a renowned part of the Fulbright Commission's educational exchange between the United States and the United Kingdom. The successful applicant will be expected to design a one-term (3 month) program of academic activities, attractive also to a wider audience, that is connected broadly to the political, diplomatic or general legacy of Senator Fulbright.
More details about the Fulbright Visiting Professorship and the application process can be found on the websites of the CIES (Council for International Exchange of Scholars) and the Fulbright Commission. The deadline for applications is Wednesday 1 August 2018.
Senator J. William Fulbright studied at Pembroke College as a Rhodes Scholar, and the Fulbright Commission was established in 1948 to foster greater cultural understanding and scholarship between the US and UK. The Fulbright Visiting Professorship is one of the programme's most prestigious awards and aims to reflect and extend Senator Fulbright's political and intellectual legacy.
