Professor Desmond King elected to NASI

Professor Desmond King has been elected as a Fellow to the National Academy of Social Insurance.

Membership of the Academy is awarded to those whose work has significantly contributed to social insurance and policy; to join, each Fellow is nominated and elected by existing members.

The National Academy of Social Insurance brings together academics and researchers from across the United States of America. Established over 30 years ago, the Academy seeks to increase “public understanding of how social insurance contributes to economic security”.

Prof King was also elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2017.
