Professor Alexander Betts comments on the need for a nuanced argument on migration

Alexander Betts has been quoted in the New York Times (13 January) about the polarization of the debate about migration within the European Union since recent attacks in Paris and Cologne.

“This has been the elephant in the room that no one is prepared to acknowledge — that the great fear is the fear of Islam,” writes Alex.
