Professor Giovanni Capoccia wins APSA Award

Giovanni Capoccia has been awarded the 2008 APSA Award for the best journal article in qualitative and multi-method research.


Giovanni`s article is entitled `The Study of Critical Junctures: Theory, Narrative and Counterfactuals in Institutional Analysis`, World Politics, 59, April 2007, 341-369 (with R. Daniel Kelemen, Rutgers University). He is currently working on a book manuscript on the comparative analysis of reactions to political extremism in advanced democracies, and is co-directing a collaborative project on Dilemmas and Challenges of Democratization: Lessons from Europe`.
