Professor Rana Mitter discusses the new Oxford China Centre

Rana Mitter appeared as a guest on the BBC World Service's programme 'Weekend' (28 February), in which he discussed a number of issues, including the new University of Oxford China Centre, which was opened in September by the Duke of Cambridge.

He talks about how the UK is becoming a European centre in the study of China but is moving from if not a standing start then a low one.  Rana hopes that the Oxford China Centre will "put a bit of petrol in that particular tank".
