In my DPhil project, I investigate the conditions underlying the emergence and political sustainability of judicial review. Empirically, the project is based on a comparative-historical design including case studies of Germany, Norway and Austria during the inter-war period.
My research interests include judicial politics, EU politics and comparative political economy.
Before embarking on the DPhil, I studied Political Science at Free University, Berlin (BA) and the University of Oxford (MPhil) as well as Law at Humboldt University, Berlin (First State Examination).
