Ms Katharine Brooks
My current research focuses upon the historical evolution of discursive justifications for territorial claims in international theory and practice. Prior to this, my MPhil thesis, Gender is what States Make of it: Gender, Nation-building and War in Israel explored the impact of womens conscription into the armed forces, and their role in the nation-building project generally, upon Israels foreign policy. In addition to my studies at Oxford, I am currently working as a Consultant Researcher for the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia; specialising in the area of social policy.
