Mr Samuel Singler
I am an MPhil International Relations candidate at St Antony’s College.
My research focuses on the role of technology in global affairs, particularly security and surveillance technologies utilized for border control purposes. My MPhil thesis investigates the use of large-scale information systems at the external borders of the European Union, examining the independent effects of novel technologies on the securitization and criminalization of migration.
I have previously completed an undergraduate degree in International Relations at Queen Mary University of London, and I have professional experience from organizations such as RAND Europe and the University of Cambridge Forum on Geopolitics.
