I am currently a Visiting Research Fellow in the Department of Politics and International Relations(DPIR), University of Oxford. I am concurrently an associate professor & dean assistant of Faculty of Philosophy at Nankai University in China, where I teach courses for undergraduates and supervise graduates on Marxist Philosophy. I am also a research associate at the Institution of Issues in Contemporary China (IICC) of Nankai University which aims to research on the significant theoretical and practical problems in Contemporary China.
My research interests include Marxist Philosophy, Analytical Marxism, Political Philosophy and Deliberative Democracy. I have published my first book titled “Research on Methodology of Analytical Marxism” (Beijing: China Social Sciences Publishing House, 2012), which mainly focuses on the uniqueness of methods of Analytical Marxist in interpreting the thought of Marx. And more than ten research papers have been published in Chinese core academic Journal such as “Philosophy Research”, “Teaching and Research”, “Philosophical Trends” and “Marxism＆Reality”, etc. In recent two years, my research work rests on Political Philosophy and Deliberative Democracy.
Here as an academic visitor in the Department of Politics and International Relations, I plan to take on my research project on the theory of justice of G.A. Cohen and extend my research work on Analytical Marxist and Political Philosophy. By combining related theories of justice to social practice, I hope to provide theoretical insights for the ongoing social transformation of Contemporary China.
