Join us for a hybrid session with Dr Victoria Phillips as we explore the possibilities of mining government and online databases to uncover valuable information for life-writing subjects. From tracking historical figures to discovering untold narratives, this workshop will equip participants with practical strategies and insights for using archival resources effectively in their research.

Dr Victoria Phillips (Columbia University) is the author of Martha Graham’s Cold War: The Dance of American Diplomacy and serves as a Visiting Fellow at OCLW. She is also a Global Fellow at the Wilson Center in Washington, DC, where she co-directs the Cold War Archival Research Institute.

No prior reading or preparation is required, but attendees joining in person are encouraged to bring their own laptops.
