Resolving the Israeli–Palestinian Conflict examines over three decades of negotiations between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), from the Oslo Accords (1993) to the present. It explains the recurring failures of the peace process and identifies conditions for success, analysing the roles of mediators, facilitators, and key negotiation junctures such as Oslo, Camp David, and the Abbas–Olmert talks. Drawing on more than one hundred interviews with senior policymakers and extensive archival research, the book develops an interdisciplinary framework for understanding diplomacy, conflict resolution, and negotiation. The book analyses structural, moral, and strategic barriers to peace and proposes practical mechanisms to address them. It argues that peace depends on mutual recognition, fairness, political will, and credible implementation. By moving from diagnosis to prescription, the book contributes original insights for scholars, diplomats, and policymakers seeking a just and sustainable resolution to one of the world’s most intractable conflicts.
