Graduate funding

A graduate offer from DPIR does not usually come with funding for fees or living costs.

Whilst we hope to be able to offer more fully-funded scholarships in future, most offer-holders currently need to find scholarship funding themselves, or cover fees, maintenance and other costs (eg fieldwork) from other sources.

Offer holders should consult the University’s Graduate Funding webpage for advice on securing scholarships.

We set out below the scholarships for which DPIR nominate or contribute in some way. All eligible DPIR offer-holders will be considered automatically for the scholarships listed below. Offer-holders are normally nominated based on offer-holder ranking.

* This is a full (fees and living costs) new scholarship which will be awarded to a UK student from an underrepresented group using data provided as part of the contextual data initiative.

** There is a separate form which must be submitted with the University application form and a full CV. We recommend that all applicants who may be eligible for ESRC funding complete the form when applying.
