You will assist the team with a wide variety of tasks across both undergraduate and postgraduate provision. This would include assisting with graduate applications, responding to offer holder enquiries, assisting with exam administration, dealing with lecture recording issues, providing communications support in relation to website updates or event organisation.

About the apprenticeship

As part of this role, you will undertake an Apprenticeship with Abingdon & Witney College, where you will complete the Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship. It should be noted that, despite the apprenticeship title, this apprenticeship relates to the administration of academic higher education courses within the University. The successful candidate would not be involved in the business of politics or international relations.

For this apprenticeship, you will work at the Department of Politics & International Relations in Manor Road Building, Oxford OX1 3UQ. As part of your apprenticeship, you will be required to attend Abingdon & Witney College for a 10-day course, at all other times you will be based at Manor Road Building.  Full-time staff are currently required to be on site for 3 out of 5 days each week.

In total, it will take 18 months to complete all elements of the apprenticeship, with support from the Department, University, and Abingdon & Witney College throughout.

Becoming an apprentice at the University of Oxford is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and training. For more information, please visit: https://www.apprenticeships.ox.ac.uk
