Research Topic:
I am a DPhil candidate in Politics, specialising in comparative and historical political economy. My doctoral research is generously funded by Nuffield College and the Department of Politics and International Relations.
My thesis explores the interplay between economic and political inequality. Specifically, my first paper explores the conditions under which redistributive politics can be electorally successful. I focus on the role of austerity in reinvigorating class and distributive conflict and how this was expressed by anti-austerity parties in advanced democracies. My work is supervised by Ben Ansell and David Rueda.
