DPIR offers UNIQ+ opportunities to under-represented graduate talent this summer

The Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR) is proud to announce that it has joined the University of Oxford’s UNIQ+ programme. This is the first year that the department has been involved.

UNIQ+ is a 6-week summer programme aimed at talented individuals from disadvantaged and under-represented backgrounds at postgraduate level.

Successful candidates will be offered a scholarship stipend and free accommodation.

Running from Monday 4 July 2022, the UNIQ+ placements will offer first-hand research experience with supervision from DPIR academics.

DPIR is providing four research project internship opportunities:

  • Defence arguments in international criminal trials (SSD 12)
  • Nationalising a pandemic (SSD 13)
  • Disappearing seas (SSD 14)
  • Location of military bases: Brexit and voting patterns (SSD 15)

In total, around 100 UNIQ+ internships will be offered across the University this summer to individuals who meet the eligibility criteria.
