Iain McLean (Nuffield) and Colin Jennings` (Queens) new edited book, Applying the Dismal Science - when economists give advice to governments, is to be launched at a high-profile event hosted by the Institute for Public Policy Research (ippr) and Policy Exchange in London on January 24.
Ed Balls, MP for Normanton, former Economic Adviser to Gordon Brown MP and former Chief Economic Adviser to the Treasury, will speak at the launch event.
The book is one product of Iain and Colin`s seminar series of Trinity Term 2004.
