The book, co-edited with historian Katharina Rietzler, received the Joseph Fletcher Prize for Best Edited Book in Historical International Relations from the History section of the International Studies Association. It also won the International Studies Association Theory Section Best Edited Volume Award.

The book is the first cross-disciplinary history of women’s international thought and brings together some of the foremost historians and scholars of international relations working today.

It recovers and analyses the groundbreaking work of 18 leading thinkers of international politics from the early to mid-twentieth century.

Its companion volume, an anthology of 104 selections by 92 different thinkers, will be the largest collection of international thought in print when it is published early next year.

Patricia said: It’s wonderful to receive this recognition from two different sections of the International Studies Association and is testament to the benefits of historical research and interdisciplinary collaboration in our plural and interdisciplinary field of International Relations.”
