Professor Neil MacFarlane comments on the Karabakh peace process

Neil MacFarlane was quoted on the website for News.am (Armenia) regarding the recent failure of efforts to bring the Karabakh conflict to a final and peaceful conclusion.

Neil said, The efforts of the mediators in the Karabakh peace process failed mainly because the two major parties to the conflict are unwilling to accept the compromises necessary to get to a successful conclusion.

He also discusses the position of Russia as a mediator in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
