Professor Richard Caplan to Co-direct International Research Group

Professor Richard Caplan has been awarded funding from the John Fell OUP Research Fund and the Folke Bernadotte Academy in Sweden for his project, Exit Strategies and the Consolidation of Peace`.

The funding will be used to establish an international research group that will examine the major challenges associated with the termination of international state-building operations and the requirements for the maintenance of peace (if one has been established) in the period following exit. Dr Patrick Cronin, Director of Studies at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), will co-direct the project.

Professor Richard Caplan is Professor of International Relations and Official Fellow, Linacre College.
