Opportunities for all students

  • OxPol blog

The Oxford University Politics blog is hosted by the Department of Politics and International Relations. The blog promotes leading academic research and analysis to readers in and outside the University. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to submit contributions to the blog.

  • Prizes and accolades

The students of the Department of Politics and International Relations are some of the best in the world and are often recognised as such. When students are awarded a prize - be that an internal one or from other nationally or internationally recognised bodies for an outstanding disertatation or thesis - we endeavour to share the good news with as many people as possible. The department's website hosts news of such recognition and its also broadcast on our social media. The department's Twitter account for example has a huge number of followers.

  • Careers service

Whilst at Oxford, students can access impartial and comprehensive support in career planning and management. The Careers service on the University of Oxford's website offers job vacancies, internships, events, skills sessions, fairs and resources. Meanwhile Career Connect is a web-based database of Oxford alumni who have volunteered to share their career experiences with current students. This provides current students and recent graduates with behind-the-scenes insights into an organisation or occupation, as well as creating valuable opportunities for networking.
