DPIR Research Support Fund

Research-internal funding
DPIR DEADLINE

A maximum of £30,000 will be allocated to the Research Support Fund (RSF) on an annual basis with approximately £10,000 being allocated each term.

The DPIR’s Research Support Fund (RSF) will provide small grants (up to £3,000 per award) for:

  • non-permanent academic or research staff (particularly early career researchers) to develop their research agendas through conducting or disseminating research
  • pump-priming & completion of research initiatives
  • emergency research funding
  • supporting dissemination of non-academic research impact or engagement activity.

No individual award will exceed £3,000. If there are more applications to the fund than can be met from the total RSF budget, then the review panel may have to make partial awards or may prioritise the awards it makes. There is also no automatic entitlement to funding. Applicants will be restricted to receiving one award per year. Except in the case of applications for emergency funding, applications will be considered in gathered fields each term. Applicants should apply at least one term in advance of the start date for funding being required.

The gathered field for HT24 is open between 19 January – 19 February, and it is anticipated that the outcomes will be announced in HT Week 8.
