I am a DPhil (PhD) student in Politics (Comparative Government) affiliated with the DPIR and Linacre College.

I hold a dual MA in Political Science (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) and Social Science (Humboldt University in Berlin). I also hold a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Contemporary European Studies, with a minor in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (Kenan Flagler Business School; UNC Chapel Hill).

My professional background is heavily focused on research and diplomacy that facilitates the transatlantic relationship. To this end, I have previously held positions with the US Department of State, the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, and the Atlantic Council.

Research summary

I am broadly interested in sustainable democratic transitions and authoritarian politics. My doctoral research applies a mixed-methods approach to analyze EU funding and accession policies in Central and Eastern European member and candidate states.
