I joined DPIR as a MPhil student in Comparative Government in October 2022. My research interests lie in the politics of the welfare state and more broadly in comparative political economy, political behaviour and psychology, and methodology. In my MPhil thesis I analyse the effects of stigmatisation of welfare beneficiaries on take up and support of social benefits.

Prior to coming to Oxford, I received a BA in Political Science and Modern History from the University of Zurich. Additionally, I have completed methods courses at the University of Konstanz and at the ICPSR Summer Program at the University of Michigan. Since 2020, I have held various research assistance positions at the Universities of Zurich and Oxford, which also resulted in co-authored work. In 2023, I further stayed as a research associate at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In Oxford, I am also a tutor for Comparative Political Economy.

In my free time, I am fascinated by language and different ways of storytelling. This is reflected in my volunteer work in science communication and making academia a more accessible space. To that end, I am also MPhil co-course and my college’s Women’s representative.

My degree in Oxford is supported by an Annual Excellence Scholarship of the Swiss Study Foundation.
