Cameron Scheijde is an MSc. Political Theory Research student, focussing on historical injustice, post-colonialism, contested histories, race and racism. He is interested in arguments for reparations to correct historical injustices and the ethics of collective responsibility, especially in the context of post-apartheid South Africa.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Bristol and an MSc in African Studies from the University of Oxford. His MSc thesis was titled 'How useful is whiteness studies for the inquiry of race(ism) in Africa?' and explored Critical Race Theory and its potential contribution to African scholarship. He works as a research associate on the Contested Histories project with the Institute for Historical Justice and Reconciliation in The Hague, NL and between 2020 and 2021 worked as a research assistant for Constitution Hill in South Africa.
