Research Topic:
I am a second-year MPhil student in International Relations and a member of Wadham College. My research examines the proliferation of International Commercial Courts (ICommCs) and the changing nature of jurisdiction, territory, and sovereignty in international. My thesis investigates the relationship between law and capital and contextualizes ICommCs within a broader history of judicial spaces overseeing commerce. In the autumn of 2026, I will be pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD) at the University of Toronto.
I completed my undergraduate degree in my home country of Canada. I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Criminology – Research Focus. Throughout this degree, I participated as a field researcher and research assistant across various studies in the disciplines of political science, law, criminology, and psychology. These projects concerned a diverse range of questions regarding migration policies, international law, cross national training models, and domestic penitentiary dynamics. I have also worked at the Canadian House of Commons, supporting Ministers and Members of Parliament with policy work and other parliamentary efforts. Currently, I am the Executive Director at Power To Her, a non-profit organisation that seeks to empower women through the provision of resources and knowledge. Our past campaigns include the Power Circle Project, where we cultivated a network of influential women, and the Awake Not Sleeping partnership with UN Women.
