I am a DPhil candidate in Politics at the DPIR. In my doctoral thesis, I seek to explain the trajectory of European integration through the structure of domestic party competition, and especially by reference to how European integration relates to other issues in the political space. This, in turn, is a product of how salient the issue was at the time of party system formation, and can thus be explained by the historical legacy of democratisation. More generally, I am interested in party competition, European integration, and historical political economy.

My doctoral studies are generously funded by the Renato Morelli Graduate Studentship in Politics, awarded jointly by the DPIR and Corpus Christi College.

Prior to my DPhil, I read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford, graduating with a First Class degree. I also graduated summa cum laude from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) with a Master's degree in Political Science (Research).

I am currently a College Lecturer in Politics at Corpus Christi College, where I teach Political Sociology and Comparative Government, as well as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in European Politics for the DPIR. In addition, I currently serve as President of the Corpus Christi Middle Common Room.
