I am a Departmental Lecturer in International Relations and an Associate Member at St Antony’s College. My research examines how access to finance shapes politics, across the field of political economy. I study this through two lines of work: how citizens navigate economic security amid growing financial exposure, through pensions, housing, and government transfers, and how governments and firms navigate global capital markets to pursue political goals, from sovereign green bonds to restrictions on foreign investment. More broadly, I am interested in asset ownership, pensions, political participation, green finance, and sovereign debt.

I was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Niehaus Center for Globalization and Governance at Princeton University and received my PhD in Political Science from the Technical University of Munich in 2025.
