I am a DPhil (PhD) student in Politics at the DPIR and a member of St Antony’s College.
My research focuses on non-executive-led democratic backsliding, legislative aggrandizement, and fluid government coalitions in presidential systems, particularly in Latin America.
Prior to starting the doctorate, I completed an MPhil in Latin American Studies at the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies with a distinction. My thesis, titled "Breaking the Balance: How Peru's Congress Consolidated Power in a Fragmented System," won the Crawley Prize for the best MPhil thesis in the department. I also hold a BA in Comparative Literature and Political Science from Columbia University.
