Lucy is a doctoral candidate in International Relations at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford. Her doctoral thesis explores how global gender equality norms travel and are implemented in post-conflict contexts, with a focus on Kosovo. The project examines how international commitments to gender equality have been implemented by international organisations, focussing particularly on women’s socio-economic empowerment. More broadly, Lucy's research interests lie at the intersection between feminist peace research, international organisations, peacebuilding and global gender norms. In 2022, she was a Visiting Fellow at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF), which was made possible by a combination of the Scatcherd European Scholarship and a German Academic Exchange Service or DAAD Scholarship. At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, she spoke at the inaugural Women, Peace and Security Summit in October 2022. In addition, she has previously been a board member for the British Council New Narratives initiative.
