Robert is a DPhil student in International Relations with broad interests at the intersection of technology and politics. His work on content moderation, platform governance, and the use of automation online brings together perspectives from political science with a range of interdisciplinary approaches to digital media research to better understand the dynamics of power, regulation, and contestation around contemporary technology policy issues.
Robert's academic articles have been published in Information, Communication & Society, Policy & Internet, and Internet Policy Review. He contributes to the Los Angeles Review of Books and has written for Wired UK, the Washington Post, Foreign Affairs, and other popular outlets.
