This is a 3-part podcast series produced by Félix Krawatzek and Lea Muller-Funk and created by Emma Chippendale as part of a workshop held at Nuffield College, Oxford University, on 19 and 20 June 2017 on Political Remittances and Political Transnationalism: Narratives, Political Practices and the Role of the State.

The first podcast in this three-part series looks at the work of three scholars around questions of transnational political practices. The second podcast considers the impact of states in attenuating the political practices of diasporas, by shaping and facilitating the conditions for transnational engagement. The third and final podcast considers the construction of diasporic identities and the strategies undertaken by migrant groups to negotiate belonging.
