Geopolitical Risk Programme

Gain understanding of how political, economic, and societal forces interact to create risk and opportunity in today’s interconnected world.

In today’s turbulent world, no organisation or business is isolated from politics.

Political risks shape economic risks.

The Department of Politics and International Relations – one of the world’s largest and best political science departments – is proud to introduce the Geopolitical Risk Executive Education programme: a dynamic and immersive learning experience designed to equip professionals with the knowledge and strategic insights needed to navigate today’s complex global landscape.

Programme Overview

In an era defined by political uncertainty, economic volatility, and geopolitical tensions, organisations must anticipate and adapt to global risks. This two and a half day, in-person programme brings together world-leading Oxford academics and executives to explore the key geopolitical challenges shaping decision-making across a variety of sectors.

Through interactive seminars, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how political, economic, and societal forces interact to create risk and opportunity in today’s interconnected world.

This programme will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and networks needed to navigate complexity, drive innovation, and lead your organisation with confidence. Participation also offers opportunities to build your professional network and includes 12 months’ access to the Geopolitical Risk Forum, featuring expert-led breakfast seminars on the latest political developments in key areas.

Our programme is hosted at the historic and prestigious Rhodes House, a Grade II* listed classic Cotswold style venue renowned for its role in educating world leaders and Nobel Prize winners. View Rhodes House website for more information.
