An article based primarily on research by Petra Schleiter and Valerie Belu and entitled 'Parties warned over repercussions of hung parliament after general election' has been published in the Guardian (19 January).
Patrick Wintour, its author, says, "In a paper for Political Quarterly called Squatters in Downing Street, two academics [...] warn that important aspects of the constitutional arrangements surrounding a coalition government have been changed by a fixed term parliament, and not been fully addressed in the cabinet manual revised by the civil service in 2011 in the wake of the 2010 coalition talks."
