'Ansell and Samuels are sure to join the ranks of Acemoglu and Robinson, Boix, and Przeworski in furthering our understanding of democratization.' Barry R. Weingast, Stanford University

The Woodrow Wilson Award is given annually for the best book on government, politics, or international affairs.  The award is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson Foundation at Princeton University.  It carries a cash prize of $5,000.  You can read more by clicking here: http://www.apsanet.org/awards

In another great result of Oxford political science, Dr Henry Thomson of Nuffield College receieved the Juan Linz best dissertation prize from APSA’s Comparative Democratization section.

Competition for both these awards is huge, so these are terrific achievements.
