Professor Neil MacFarlane gives keynote address at the Chambsy Roundtable

On 13 September 2009, Professor Neil MacFarlane gave the keynote address to the Chambésy Round Table. His topic was The Current State of the European Security System.

The Chambésy Round Table is an annual event sponsored by the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It brings together a wide range of officials and academics from Europe and North America to discuss contemporary aspects of international relations and security in Europe. This year`s seminar was devoted to Russian proposals for a new European security architecture.

While in Geneva, Neil also gave a presentation on Russia`s relations with Europe and the United States at the Swiss Ministry of Defence`s Annual Senior Officers Seminar.

Neil MacFarlane is Head of Department, Lester B Pearson Professor of International Relations and Fellow, St Anne`s College.
