A statement from DPIR

Date

The DPIR’s GPC Committee has made the following statement regarding threats recently made against a DPIR student:

The Department of Politics and International Relations condemns the threats recently made against Addi Haran Diman, one of our graduate students, to whom we have offered our support. Threats to the DPIR's LBGTQ+ community will not be tolerated. The Department reaffirms its commitment to being a place that is open and inclusive, for students and staff of all gender and sexual identities, and will shortly be reviewing the ways in which it can best ensure that the dignity of all members of our community is protected. If any member of DPIR's community is ever subject to threats or hate speech, we guarantee that our support will be forthcoming, whether in assisting reporting of the threat, providing welfare support, or whatever else is needed.
