We are delighted to announce that Tania Boyt has been appointed as the new Head of Administration and Finance (HAF) at the Department of Politics and International Relations. Tania Boyt, commenting on her appointment

Tania joined the University as the Centre Administrator at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies in 2001, she has since held a number of pivotal positions in departments within the Medical Sciences and Social Sciences Divisions.

Notably, she played a crucial role in establishing Oxford's first new college in four decades as Bursar and Official Fellow at Reuben College, starting in 2019. She has also become the first ever HAF elected to Council and trustee of the University, demonstrating her commitment to institutional governance and strategic leadership.

Tania holds an MBA and memberships in professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and the Institute of Leadership and Management. We feel confident that she will bring valuable knowledge and best practice to DPIR.

Joint Heads of Department, Petra Schleiter and Nick Owen, expressed their gratitude to Vicky Robson for stepping in as our HAF since Nina Tomlin’s departure in January. Additionally, they congratulated Tania on her appointment, commenting that they have every confidence that her proven experience of delivering high quality professional services will make a great contribution to the success of DPIR, now and in the future.
