Introduction

Anne-Charlotte Gimenez is Centre Manager for the Centre for Advanced Social Sciences Methods (CASSM) in the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford, and supports the Centre for Experimental Social Sciences (CESS) at Nuffield College. She has over ten years’ experience managing interdisciplinary, grant-funded programmes across academia and the international development sector.

Before joining Oxford, Anne-Charlotte worked with NGOs, foundations, and social enterprises across Mali, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Turkey, Nepal, Indonesia, the US, Brazil, the UK, and France in roles spanning programme management, finance, strategy, and partnerships. She began her career in IT and management consulting and has an academic background in mathematics, physics, computer science, and management.

She is currently completing an MSc in International Development at SOAS, University of London. Her work and research interests focus on labour, inequality, and the social implications of technological change, alongside supporting academic leadership, high-quality research, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic and day-to-day management of CASSM and CESS
  • Financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and funder reporting
  • Research development support, including grant costings and proposals
  • Committee servicing, governance support, and stakeholder liaison
  • Coordination of events, communications, and cross-departmental activity

Anne-Charlotte works compressed hours, with one Wednesday off every two weeks, and splits her time on site between DPIR and the Centre for Experimental Social Sciences (CESS) at Nuffield College.
