Introduction
Anne-Charlotte Gimenez is Centre Manager for the Centre for Advanced Social Science Methods (CASSM) in the Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Oxford, and supports the Centre for Experimental Social Sciences (CESS) at Nuffield College. She has over ten years’ experience managing and leading interdisciplinary, grant-funded programmes across academia and international development, with expertise in programme strategy, financial management, institutional funding, governance and partnerships.
Before joining CASSM, Anne-Charlotte held programme management and advisory roles at the Oxford Martin School, MSI Reproductive Choices and the Oxford Department of International Development. Her work has spanned research management, programme delivery, institutional funding and organisational development across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. She began her career in IT and management consulting and holds a BSc in Engineering Sciences and an MSc in Telecommunications and Management.
She is currently completing an MSc in International Development at SOAS, University of London. Her professional and research interests include labour and inequality, technology and development, the future of work, and the use of rigorous evidence to inform policy and practice.
Responsibilities
Strategic and operational management of CASSM and oversight of CESS activities
Financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning and funder reporting
Governance and decision support for CASSM’s Management Committee
Research development and institutional funding, including grant development, costings and funding strategy
Partnership and stakeholder engagement across the University, funders and external organisations
Leadership and development of the Centre’s professional services team
Development of systems, processes and institutional capacity to support the Centre’s long-term sustainability
Working pattern
Anne-Charlotte works compressed hours, with one Wednesday off every two weeks, and splits her time on site between DPIR and the Centre for Experimental Social Sciences (CESS) at Nuffield College.
