Research Topic:
I’m a second-year MPhil in European Politics and Society student under the supervision of Tarik Abou-Chadi, interested in political behaviour, the radical right and gender. More specifically, my research seeks to investigate whether there has been backlash against progressive LGBTQ+ policies in advanced democracies. My MPhil is funded by Catalonia International.
Before coming to Oxford, I graduated from Pompeu Fabra University with a BA in Global Studies, which included a semester abroad at the University of Pennsylvania. Afterwards, I joined the London School of Economics to pursue an MSc in Political Sociology. My thesis looked at the rise of the radical right in Spain from a nationalist perspective.
I also have extensive experience working in the LGBTQ+ non-profit sector; I was a project coordinator at The Love Tank CIC, where I managed the ‘Queers Beyond Borders’ project to support LGBTQ+ migrants, refugees and asylum seekers in Europe. I have also worked in the sustainability sector and at Catalonia Trade & Investment (ACCIÓ), the Catalan Government's agency that promotes foreign investment and business competitiveness.
