I am a DPhil candidate in Politics at the Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR). My doctoral research explores how political parties, particularly in Europe, compete over democratic legitimacy—a dimension often overlooked in traditional models of party competition. I am particularly interested in how legitimacy claims are articulated, challenged, and reshaped in electoral discourse and political contestation; and how voters react to them. More generally, my research interests include political parties, electoral behavior, and the changing dynamics between mainstream and far-right parties in Europe.

Before coming to DPIR, I completed both my Bachelor's degree in International Relations and my Master's degree in Political Science at the University of Montreal. My research is generously supported by a SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and a Doctoral Training Scholarship from Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (FRQSC).
