I am an MPhil student in Politics (European Politics and Society) and a recipient of the Aker Scholarship. My research focuses on the role of monopsony power in local labour markets. Specifically, I am interested in how and to what extent the spatial concentration of employment opportunities drives down wages and exacerbates existing inequalities in the wage distribution.
Before coming to Oxford, I worked as the Sustainability Coordinator for the Norwegian investment firm Klaveness Marine. The role included defining and implementing portfolio targets aligned with the EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Activities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Exeter, where I was the recipient of the Global Academic Excellence Scholarship. For my undergraduate thesis, I conducted a multilevel analysis of 18 high-income OECD countries between 1995-2015, investigating the impact of wage-setting institutions on earnings dispersion, overall as well as across different parts of the wage hierarchy.
