Nagi Koriki
I am a DPhil student in International Relations at the University of Oxford, supervised by Professor Edward Keene. My research lies at the intersection of international relations theory, international law, and socio-legal studies. It examines how the international legal principle of sovereign equality has been reconstructed by actors in semi-peripheral status positions within international society. I completed a BA in Politikwissenschaft at Freie Universität Berlin, an MSc at the London School of Economics, and an MA at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, having moved from Japan to Germany at the age of eighteen. I began my doctoral studies in the Faculty of Law before transferring to the Department of Politics and International Relations (DPIR) in 2025.
