This scheme provides funding for established researchers and teams from any discipline who want to pursue bold and creative research ideas to deliver significant shifts in understanding that could improve human life, health and wellbeing.  

This scheme provides funding for mid-career researchers from any discipline who have the potential to be international research leaders.

The Nuffield Foundation expect the research to contribute to understanding, public debate, policy and/or practice on tackling racial inequalities, discrimination and disadvantage in the UK.

These Fellowships enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD and who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships will be open to excellent researchers of any nationality.

Research Project Grants for innovative and original research projects with a maximum grant value of £500,000. 

Are you an established, leading principal investigator who wants long-term funding to pursue a ground-breaking, ambitious project?

This is one of the most "classic" and flexible grant opportunities. There are no constraints in terms of topic.

Internal Oxford applicants only. Applications can be for a wide range of activities such as surveys, travel, or staff costs.

The primary emphasis is on the completion of a significant piece of publishable research, and the integration of the award holder into the community of established scholars within their field.

Grade 8: £49,119 - £58,265 per annum (pro rata ). 

This is inclusive of a pensionable Oxford University Weighting of £1,730 per year (pro rata)
