International Women's Day

This International Women’s Day, on Sunday 8 March, we’re celebrating the excellence, diversity and impact of women across the Department of Politics and International Relations. Throughout March, explore our special series showcasing collaborations between our female students and their supervisors, highlighting the inspiring work they are doing together.

"Our student-supervisor collaboration is the single most important influence on my development and growth as a scholar."

Politics is at the heart of human life. From an international, to an interpersonal scale, political structures and processes profoundly affect the distribution of resources and human rights. Our vision is a world with a wider understanding of political power, process, and its impact. This is what we study, and this is what we teach.

A global, inclusive community of people and ideas, committed to excellence

Having marked our 25th anniversary in 2025, we have reflected on the impact of our research and are now focused on shaping the future. We honour the successes of staff and students — past and present — and will continue to strengthen ties with our global alumni community.
