Last week, the Social Sciences Division held an induction event for incoming DPhil students at the Blavatnik School of Government. This networking and social event for new Postgraduates introduced divisional training opportunities and showcased research posters from current doctoral students.
Among these were DPIR's Inger Storm Sandboe (Izzie) and Haitong Du, who represented the Department in presenting their research topics at the poster fair. Inger's research examines the role of communities in shaping radicalisation, while Haitong's research theorises the international order predominated by strongman-style leaders.
The posters were entered into a competition to be judged based on a criteria of content, impact and layout. Congratulations to Haitong Du, who was awarded second prize in the Division for his entry.
We look forward to seeing how the research of our students develops over their time with us at DPIR!
