Oxford has yet again topped The Guardian’s University 2026 Guide for politics, with the University scoring 100 out of 100 for the subject.
The university was graded on various aspects including satisfaction with teaching and feedback, student to staff ratio and spend per student.
It maintained its prime position for the subject from last year, fending off stiff competition from St Andrew’s and Cambridge at 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
And the University of Oxford overall also retained its ranking as the UK’s best university in the recently-published The Guardian’s guide.
DPIR’s Head of Department David Doyle said:
“It is wonderful news to hear that the Department has been ranked number one in the UK for Politics by the Guardian’s League Table. It is a testament to the wonderful work of all my colleagues who do their very best to ensure that our research and teaching continues to be delivered at such high standards.”
